VERO’S #NEWMUSICMOVES SHOWCASE IS BACK

15 May | 12PM–4PM | One Church, Gloucester Place, Brighton

VERO returns with the latest edition of its acclaimed #NewMusicMoves showcase, Friday, 15 May from 12PM–4PM at One Church, Gloucester Place.

Set against one of Europe’s most influential festivals for emerging talent, the showcase reflects VERO’s ongoing mission through its record label, VERO Music, to champion bold new voices through strategic artist development, live experiences, and forward-thinking release campaigns.

To celebrate the occasion, free ice cream will be on offer (first-come first-served!) from Brighton local legends Brass Monkey.

This year’s curated line-up spans soulful songwriting, alt-pop, and genre-fluid experimentation.

3:15 – 3:45
Leading the bill is Alex Amor, one of the newest additions to the VERO Music roster. She heads into a significant summer of live performances on the heels of her breakout hit single “Meet on the Moon.” With fresh music on the horizon, Amor arrives in Brighton at a pivotal moment, bringing her dream-like songwriting, sharp creative identity, and rising buzz as one of the label’s key breakout prospects for 2026.

2:15 – 2:45
Joining the line-up is J Appiah, who returns to Brighton following standout momentum since his previous Great Escape appearance. Over the past year, J Appiah has continued to build a powerful live reputation while expanding his audience internationally, including touring with Michael Kiwanuka and Gorillaz, and earning growing acclaim for his emotionally rich songwriting and magnetic stage presence.

1:15 – 1:45
VERO Music’s special guest is samxemma. The Manchester-based electronic duo will be bringing a blend of hyperpop, club music and pop songwriting to The Great Escape this year. Across their releases, the pair have built a distinct sonic and visual identity that merges underground electronic culture with emotionally direct pop.

12:15 – 12:45
Opening the showcase is Rafferty, another recent VERO Music signing who has quickly begun turning heads. Fresh from supporting Thunder Jackson in London, Rafferty impressed audiences with a breakout set that confirmed his status as one of the most exciting new names on the rise.

This year’s #NewMusicMoves showcase captures VERO Music’s continued instinct for identifying artists at defining moments in their journeys. It is both a celebration of discovery and a statement of intent from a company steadily building a trusted home for emerging talent.
