From his humble beginnings in Empangeni in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa, to Worldwide attention from the likes of Gorillaz main man Damon Albarn, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, South Africa’s DJ Black Coffee and dance music legends, The Prodigy. MUZI is the next generation of South African electronic musicians primed to set the global clubs, music festivals and blogs ablaze with a distinct homegrown and infectious sound. MUZI spent 2015 and 2016 in Berlin, Germany, which culminated in the release of his first EP ‘Fire FX’ and later, a full-length album ‘Boom Shaka’ – a bold fusion of hard-hitting electronic music and African rhythms. Boom Shaka went on to receive critical acclaim worldwide.
