Jordan Hawkins, R&B’s rockstar, didn’t just appear overnight. His smooth vocals and powerful range
have evolved through years of passion and work, fusing together influences and collaborators across
genres. Born in Greensboro, North Carolina and raised in the church choir, he is following in the spirit
of true performers like Prince, Jimi Hendrix, John Mayer – artists who took the guitar and brought
their magic to life. Hawkins moved to LA for school, but it quickly became the perfect place to
harvest a growing passion for music. He followed that spark, and now at just 26 years old, he has
found his community and a sound uniquely his own.
Jordan has graced stages across the US, including his debut festival appearances at Roots Picnic in
Philadelphia and Essence Fest in New Orleans. He has also supported a range of artists including PJ
Morton, Eric Bellinger, and Macy Gray. Recently, Jordan performed the lead single ‘Super Power’ from
his latest EP ‘4Play’ for COLORS.
