Jackson Roy, the alias of Peckham based multi-instrumentalist Jack Chandler, explores a world between angst-ridden alt rock and experimental folk, sewn together with electronic textures and ethereal arrangements. Roy moves freely between an exciting variety of sonic structures and stylistic cornerstones whilst crafting time, rhythm and harmony with an endearing and unassuming sophistication. Formerly known for his writing and performing with a number of other artists (Honey Moon, Oscar Browne, Blackaby) this brand new project sees Jackson turn his hand to an altogether different box of tricks that brings with it some genre-defying results.
