Girl Apocrypha

Girl Apocrypha had a dream where she killed Madonna and has, of course, decided to make this everybody else’s problem. Less notably, she is a brand-new, genre-bending artist from Brighton who wields a lipstick-stained microphone and a Playboy cutout-covered guitar. Her sound dances between pop, post-punk and industrial, drawing influence from Lady Gaga, My Chemical Romance, Interpol and The Dare. Centring raw, confessional lyricism and tongue-in-cheek storytelling, Girl Apocrypha embodies the stellar collision of a rock star and a pop star, with a result that is as angsty as it is camp.
