Dubbed affectionally the “scrappy little songwriter” Essy Sparrow makes nostalgic and brutally honest indie folk music from her rural studio on the coast of Cornwall.
Inspired by sea shanties and the gossip of coastal towns Essy blends organic folk with indie pop to create music that makes you question “did she actually just say that”.
Her highly anticipated 2nd EP “Gossip from a Coastal Town” is due out in 2026 and she spent the last year preparing by playing the BBC Introducing stage at Boardmasters, supporting artists like Semler and Tors, packing out a church for her debut London headline and joining Lily Lyons on stage at The Staves headline show.
