The Great Escape 2025 is set to be bigger and better than ever, with today’s announcement unveiling a massive wave of new artists joining the line-up. This year’s festival will also see an exciting expansion, with the event kicking off on Wednesday 14 May for the first time ever, adding an extra day of live music across Brighton’s iconic venues.
PETER DOHERTY HEADLINES A SPECIAL SPOTLIGHT SHOW
The festival’s first-ever Wednesday night will be marked by an exclusive Spotlight Show from none other than Peter Doherty. The Libertines’ co-frontman will be joined by post-punk party-starters Warmduscher and Welsh indie rockers Trampolene as part of a special showcase presented by Strap Originals, celebrating the release of Doherty’s new album ‘Felt Better Alive‘. This separately ticketed event will take place at The Deep End, forming part of a Brighton Beach takeover. Alongside this landmark show, The Great Escape has revealed over 130 new additions to its 2025 line-up, bringing together some of the most exciting emerging talent from across the globe. Among the newly announced acts are Jordan Adetunji, Lynks, The K’s, Man/Woman/Chainsaw, MOIO, The Moonlandingz, Black Fondu, Westside Cowboy, Donny Benét and many more.

The Great Escape is not just about the music—it’s also home to the UK’s leading music business conference. This year’s programming will feature expert discussions and industry insights, with key collaborators including the Council of Music Makers (Thursday 15 May), the Night Time Industries Association (Friday 16 May), and Youth Music & BBC Introducing (Saturday 17 May). THE ROAD TO THE GREAT ESCAPE RETURNS
Ahead of the main event in Brighton, The Road to The Great Escape will once again bring a selection of rising stars to Glasgow (9-10 May) and Dublin (12-13 May). These showcases provide a sneak preview of the breakthrough talent heading to the festival, giving fans a chance to catch them in an intimate setting before they take Brighton by storm.
