My First Time

Having first met at university in Bristol, My First Time is comprised of friends, Isaac, Jordanna, James and Naia. A band inspired as much by the everyday, inner-city philosophies of The Streets and ‘Parklife’-era Blur to the pure pop dynamism of Marina, My First Time are a band with plenty to say. Their music — a crushing mix of new-school punk, thrashy pop and twisted riffs — delivers both arresting social commentary and new-school satire, with the band’s character-based approach to songwriting granting them an immediate point of difference. Already supported by BBC R1, 6 Music and Apple Music’s Matt Wilkinson and tipped by everyone from Kerrang! to NME, the band’s debut EP forms the latest absorbing chapter of the My First Time story.
