La Plata

La Plata was born eight years ago with the intention of shaking up the Valencian rock’n’roll and punk scene, blending indie melodies, a nostalgic synthwave aesthetic, the raw energy of punk, and the driving rhythms of hardcore. Years have passed, but the band’s desire to challenge and transcend the boundaries between musical genres remains as strong as ever. For them, each new project is a creative engine—an opportunity to express and experiment, to listen and see, to learn and forget.
La Plata has never aimed to make the same album twice. Un atasco (EP, 2017) and Desorden (LP, 2018) were their first releases, breaking into the Spanish indie scene with impact. The evolution of their sound has always mirrored the band members’ latest musical obsessions, paired with a drive to explore new combinations of diverse influences and production techniques: 01 03 2019 (EP, 2019), Acción directa (LP, 2022), and Sueños (EP, 2023).
