Formerly of alt-rock duo Fräulein, Jonique writes music grown from the gut. Songs about memory, identity and belonging play out in front of you, each like a distinct scene from the world she’s carving out for herself.

At the heart of the project is an unmistakable voice that is filled with contradictions – fragile and strong, beautiful and twisted, intense and fleeting, but so deeply human. Jonique’s quietly magnetic performances will grab you immediately but will linger long after the show is over.
Drawing on confessional storytellers like Joni Mitchell, Jeff Buckley and Adrianne Lenker, her music retains the edge of alt-rock, while weaving in the atmospheric influence of 90s trip-hop and electronic artists like Björk and Tricky.
