25-year-old Londoner Chiderah is a vocalist of striking range – a falsetto as fragile as it is vulnerable, a baritone that can turn silky or roar with passion. His music mirrors that duality, weaving the psychedelic R&B of Steve Lacy with the warmth of D’Angelo and the poetic lyricism of Hozier. Raised in Hoxton to Nigerian parents, he’s earned a co-sign from Sir Elton John and airplay from Radio 1. His upcoming single “Never Learn,” inspired by Hopper’s Nighthawks, previews his second EP — his first to feature his own production, exploring the life and death of a relationship through vivid, specific moments.
