luvis

luvis is a singer-songwriter, track maker, and guitarist from Uji, Kyoto, now based in Tokyo. He channels emotions that exist before language—feelings passed down through generations—into music that resonates across time. Influenced by jazz, soul, alternative rock, folk, and the natural world, he creates an organic sound shaped by his distinctive voice. His name comes from “luv is,” reflecting his lifelong exploration of love’s meaning. The title track of his latest EP Blue Inside You, “Higher,” drew international attention at SXSW and on NPR’s World Cafe, was featured on EIGHT-JAM, and reached #8 on Spotify’s Viral Chart.
