AK Patterson is a London-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist recognised for her powerful vocal delivery and vivid storytelling. Her music explores darker corners of the human experience while centring resilience and hope, often telling stories of the underdog. Her latest EP Jailbird was partly inspired by her time working in men’s prisons in South London. Patterson has been championed by Guy Garvey, who called her “a bit special,” and Roisin O’Connor, who praised her as a “superb songwriter.” She has supported Johnny Flynn, alt-J and Bastille, and worked with Mercury Prize-winning producer Charlie Andrew.
