The Great Escape Conference is set to return in 2025 with an exciting lineup of industry collaborators and thought-provoking discussions on the future of music. This year’s key partners include The Council of Music Makers, the Association of Independent Music (AIM), the Night Time Industries Association (NTIA), BBC Introducing LIVE, and Youth Music—each bringing expertise from across the industry to shape the conference’s agenda.
Each day of the conference will focus on a distinct theme. Announced so far is:
Thursday: The Changing Shape of the Music Market in 2025 – Led by The Council of Music Makers and AIM, discussions will explore market trends, policy changes, and the evolving role of labels and international touring.
Friday: Collaborative Dialogues – The Future of Music, Identity, and Community – Curated by the NTIA, topics will include decentralised music scenes, diversity on stage and behind the scenes, and music’s role in social activism.
Saturday: Professional Development for Emerging Artists & Music Entrepreneurs – BBC Introducing and Youth Music will provide invaluable insights on breaking into the live scene, working with managers and labels, and pitching music to press.
More conference programming will be announced very soon.
The highly regarded Elevate programme will also return, offering early-career music professionals access to mentorship, networking, and a curated festival experience. Additionally, BIMM continues as the event’s Lead Education Partner, supporting the next generation of music industry talent.
