Tia Gostelow, the Yuwi-based indie pop artist, has long embraced new beginnings and personal growth, themes that define her vibrant sound. Inspired by a Taylor Swift concert at age 8, she debuted at 16 with her single “State of Art,” which won Triple J’s Unearthed High Indigenous Initiative in 2016.
Since then, Tia’s fearless songwriting has earned her widespread acclaim. Her 2018 debut album Thick Skin went GOLD and included the PLATINUM single “Strangers,” earning her the Queensland Music Award for Album of the Year and a Triple J Feature Album.
In 2020, Tia shifted her sound with CHRYSALIS, a disco-pop reinvention that topped the AIR charts and garnered numerous accolades. Her journey included performances with HOLY HOLY and Middle Kids, plus industry collaborations and mentoring roles.
On her 2023 album Head Noise, Tia blends eclectic styles into buoyant pop songs exploring the complexities of life and love in your twenties, unified by her dreamy vocals and melodic flair.
