Oklahoma City’s Thunder Jackson saw music as his most logical vocation. Described as having “the showmanship of Sly Stone with the songcraft of Elton John” by CLASH Magazine, it’s understandable why.
His triumphant sophomore album, Hello Stranger (2024), boldly affirmed this path. The record was mixed by Grammy/ARIA award winner Eric J Dubowsky (St. Vincent), and received support from Don Letts’ BBC6 show Culture Clash Radio. It’s first single also charted on the German pop radio charts.
In 2022 Thunder released his Take Me Back EP, produced by Ryland Blackinton (Cobra Starship) and named after its title track, a collaboration with Chet Faker. The project was #1 NACC Most Added the week of release.
His 2020 debut was produced by Pete Lawrie Winfield (Until the Ribbon Breaks, Run the Jewels) and mixed by Rob Kinelski (Billie Eilish). It garnered 25M+ streams via viral hits “Love Sick Doctor” and “Guilty Party”.
