ristol-based band Make Friends today release new single “Loaded Fun”. Produced by Bombay Bicycle Club’s Ed Nash, the track marks a fresh start for the four-piece as they venture into a thrilling era of evolution.
Consisting of Tom Andrew (vocals, bass), David Thomas (guitar), Connor Crabb (guitar) and Max Lewin (drums), Make Friends have toed the line between buoyant indie-pop and the left-side of indie-rock since their formation, yet with “Loaded Fun” the band showcase a riveting sonic expansion.
On their first piece of new music in over a year, Make Friends splice together jagged percussion with spiraling guitar motifs before the song explodes into its intricately orchestrated, frenzied pre-chorus. Embodying a boundless energy, the song leans into lyrical themes of addiction and drug dependence, specifically detailing the cost it can have on a relationship.
