Essence Martins is bringing her definition of artistry centre stage with sounds that showcase
her ethereal voice and conversational songwriting. With a soundscape that pulls from
indie-folk, pop, and soul, Essence’s evocative approach to music resonates with listeners
through her delicate delivery.
Hailing from North-West London, Essence was born into a household with an innate affinity
to music. With music constantly being played at home, Essence was able to explore music
from all over the world. “Growing up, I listened to a lot of what my older sisters and parents
were listening to,” Essence recounts, with the sounds of Destiny’s Child, Anthony Hamilton,
The Carpenters and more soundscaping her childhood.
