Betty

Betty is a 24-year-old indie artist from London, born in the east and raised in the west. Her
childhood was often chaotic but soaked in musical influence and escapism, from The Cure to
Kanye, later finding her own eclectic taste from Sampha to Sexyy Red. She dropped out of
school early and ventured into modelling and DJing, but it was music that truly grounded her
and let her express herself (“When you’re DJing you’re really hiding”). She first experimented
with guitar loops during the early days of lockdown and quickly grew a community of
musicians to develop alongside.
