Originally of critically acclaimed shoe-gaze duo Big Deal, London born musician and songwriter Al Costelloe, took a break from making her own music after the bands demise, and explored playing for other bands, touring across Europe as bass-player for Superfood.
Having entered back into the world of Music as a solo artist in 2022, Costelloe released her first EP in 2023. Recorded with award winning producer Ali Chant, it received enthusiastic support from BBC 6 music’s Steve Lamacq and Craig Charles. 2024 sees Costelloe newly signed to Moshi Moshi Records and looking to the future with a renewed confidence at making music as a solo artist.
