Calling all future music industry leaders… this one’s for you!
We’re thrilled to announce the addition of the O2 Presents DIY Academy to the TGE Conference programme – a day of sessions, panels and networking opportunities at Jurys Inn Waterfront on Saturday 11 May 2019.
Open to all festival wristband holders and delegates the O2 Presents DIY Academy will guide the next generation of musicians and music industry professionals through the complexities of the modern music business. Key panels include: DIY Distribution, DIY Women In Music, DIY How To Break Into The Biz and DIY Live with O2 Academy.
Rounding off the TGE19 conference programme the Academy will be attended by aspiring artists, students and those looking to begin their careers in music. It offers a unique opportunity to learn from and meet some of the music industry’s leading players, including the likes of Mike Murphy (Ditto Music), Joe Schiavon (Live Nation), James Moodie (The orchard), Ella Hartley (O2), Ellie Giles (she said.so / Step Music Management), Luisa Walton-Stoev (Atlantic Records), Huw Stephens (BBC Introducing) and Sammy Andrews (Deviate Digital).
Attendees to O2 Presents DIY Academy will also be able to access the Elevate Seminars which are being presented as part of TGE’s new professional development programme – Elevate – funded by the National Lottery through Arts Council England. These seminars cover topics like music rights, gigs, direct-to-fan, social media tricks and how young artists and songwriters can make sure they are getting paid.
