Music Support presents ANXIETY AND THE MUSIC INDUSTRY

Anxiety: ‘Distress or uneasiness of mind caused by fear of danger or misfortune’. Mental Health Awareness Week 2023 takes place from 15-21 May, with this year’s theme being anxiety.

Ahead of this, Music Support, the charity that helps those who work in music and live events affected by mental ill-health and/or addiction, invites you to join them for a special discussion surrounding the various forms of anxiety affecting our industry peers, how we can tell if we’re suffering from it and how we can manage it.

The session will be hosted by Rachael Lander, Music Support trustee and session cellist who used alcohol to medicate her crippling performance anxiety. She has been in abstinence based recovery since 2007. Rachael will be joined by psychotherapist and musician Matthew Starritt and Earth Music Agency Managing Director and booking agent Naomi Palmer and more.
