A series of panels, parties and networking events presented by TGE’s industry partners – putting the focus on more industry topics and providing opportunities to meet other delegates.
INTERNATIONAL NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES
Presented by the UK government’s Department For Business And Trade, these sessions will offer UK delegates the opportunity to schedule meetings with influential festival bookers, live agents, music supervisors, digital pressing (NFT) platforms, promoters and more.
Most of the international delegates taking part have travelled from around the world specifically to speak to UK artists and businesses at The Great Escape.
There will be two sessions taking place on the mezzanine at the Leonardo Royal Hotel with each session split into smaller ten minute slots from 11.00-13.00 on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 May.

PRS Foundation presents TEN YEARS OF THE PPL MOMENTUM MUSIC FUND – CHANGING THE FUNDING GAME
Celebrating the impact of the pioneering PRS Foundation programme which was launched at The Great Escape in 2013 and has significantly transformed the careers of hundreds of artists and teams for the benefit of the creator community and the wider UK music industry.
This session will outline the long-term impacts of the PPL Momentum Music Fund which has supported over 500 artists and invested over £5.2 million in grant support so far.
Hear from grantees, team members, external advisors and partners as we look at the creative, economic, cultural and social impacts highlighted in the latest evaluation report which is launched at The Great Escape 2023.

Anxiety: ‘Distress or uneasiness of mind caused by fear of danger or misfortune’. Mental Health Awareness Week 2023 takes place from 15-21 May, with this year’s theme being anxiety.
Ahead of this, Music Support, the charity that helps those who work in music and live events affected by mental illhealth and/or addiction, invites you to join them for a special discussion surrounding the various forms of anxiety affecting our industry peers, how we can tell if we’re suffering from it and how we can manage it.
The session will be hosted by Rachael Lander, Music Support trustee and session cellist who used alcohol to medicate her crippling performance anxiety before going sober in 2007. Rachael will be joined by psychotherapist and musician Matthew Starritt and ‘Earth Music Agency’ Managing Director and Booking Agent Naomi Palmer and more.

Music Minds Matter presents MENTAL HEALTH IN MUSIC – WHERE ARE WE NOW?
This year’s Mental Health Awareness Week runs 15-21 May. The central topic is anxiety and to mark this occasion Help Musicians’ 24/7 support service Music Minds Matter has gathered experts working in the field alongside music industry stalwarts to discuss their experiences of mental health in our industry.
