TGE’s series of one-on-one interviews with industry leaders and innovators.

Every year the TGE Conference features a series of one-on-one interviews with industry leaders and innovators. This includes three conversations as part of the CMU+TGE programme, with a stand-out In Conversation wrapping up each of the three CMU+TGE full-day conferences.

Look out for details of this year’s In Conversations appearing here over the coming months…

Cassandra Gracey is President of Sony Music’s ground breaking 4th Floor Creative division. At the conclusion of the CMU+TGE: Music Marketing programme, she will join CMU’s Chris Cooke to talk about her career to date, why 4th Floor Creative was launched, and how partnerships, content and analytics have become key for labels seeking to make their artists truly stand out.

Cassandra is an unparalleled music business powerhouse. She is at the forefront of an ever-changing industry, whilst being a recognised advocate for women in the music business. In the fifteen years Cassandra has worked in music, she has changed the landscape of the industry, integrating music into a multitude of other spheres. She has achieved global commercial success with artists, brand partnerships and – just as importantly – she has established herself as a female leader and an inspiration for those starting their careers.

Cassandra joined Sony Music UK in October 2017 where she became responsible for overseeing all of the creative disciplines – comprising of brands, sync, insight, creative and digital – across the business. This pioneering new division was launched to offer artists an all-encompassing perspective, in order to accomplish their creative visions. In a short time, Cassandra has overseen many innovative and commercially successful projects, including Paloma Faith’s Skoda campaign, Tom Walker’s Sony Bravia partnership, and most recently the Tom Grennan and Playstation VR collaboration.

Throughout her many years in management she helped artists including Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora and Iggy Azelia achieve international success, as well as supporting the likes of Sugababes, Frankmusik and Guy Sigsworth. At the very start of her career, artists were following Cassandra from Melbourne to London, including NERVO – who are now international DJs – and Gabriella Cilmi, who had an international hit with ‘Sweet About Me’ which sold over 1.5 million albums and won six ARIA awards.

On top of all that, Cassandra is also on the board for the Allbright Private Members Club, participates in music industry mentoring programmes, and hosts various placements for those from more challenging backgrounds.

The TGE Conference runs from Wednesday 8 to Saturday 11 May 2019 and is open to all TGE delegates. Get your TGE delegate pass here.
