It’s a striking, if not confronting title for a debut album, but as Tyne-James Organ admits, that’s part of the reason he loves it so much.
“It came from a conversation with my mum,” he explains. “I take a lot of inspiration from my mum and her words. We were talking about cars at the time and the shit show they are but then, as always, the conversation went into love, death, pain and all things emotional. It really stuck with me. It wasn’t until I went to the Blue Mountains on a writing trip with Chris Collins mid-2019 that the title came back to me. We were sitting in a cafe one morning discussing lyrics and ideas around a track on the record called ‘Heal You.’ As we sat in the cafe Unknown Mortal Orchestra came on the radio with their song.
