Kamakaze aka Matt Robinson was born and raised in Leicester, England. The now 24 year old started spitting with friends around the age of 11. His debut EP “Royal Blud” with producer Massappeals hit the top 5 in the iTunes Hip Hop chart, he led Leicester to the final of Redbull’s ‘Grime a side’, knocking out major cities such as London and Manchester and his ‘Fire In The Booth’ has already raked in over half a million views collectively. His latest EP “Wavey Shirt Wednesday” has seen him reach new heights, receiving radio support for the likes of Annie Mac, Mistajam, Annie Nightingale and DJ Target.
His influences span across a number of genres from Rock to Reggae to Soul but most importantly Hip Hop and Grime. However it is the British scene that holds the most significance to him and the Artists who have influenced the shape of British culture and music today, Artists such as Kano, Roots Manuva, Klashnekoff, The Gorillaz, Alex Turner, Skepta, Dizzee Rascal and Wiley.
