Meet K-PHAX. The pink-and-blue-braided wunderkind (born Keith Birongo) first turned heads last year with the release of his striking debut single “Oh My God,” a trap flavored hip-hop gem written while the artist was seriously contemplating his future as a musician. Born in the small Kenyan town of Nyamira, K-PHAX found music at an early age, and began to play drums in the form of empty water bottles. After suffering the loss of his mother, K-PHAX immigrated to rural Denmark.
By 10 years old K-PHAX started experimenting with samples and rapping, and in 2016, he won the annual Danish music competition for unsigned acts, KarriereKanonen, garnering notice from labels and leading international blogs .
Now 19 years old, K-PHAX has spent the last year refining his sound and is ready to showcase his artistry on the global stage.
